This project revives that tradition with a modern twist: fast, flexible desserts you can whip up in minutes using tools like the Air Fryer, and smart shortcuts like homemade mixes and ready-to-go toppings.

Kuchen (German for “cake”) has long been a way to showcase seasonal fruits in simple, satisfying ways. This project expands on that idea with:

• Quick-bake Kuchen recipes for air fryers, toaster ovens, and convection ovens
• Frozen and chilled desserts for warm days or make-ahead treats
• Low-sugar and low-carb alternatives that still feel indulgent
• Mix-and-match bases like biscuit mix, streusel, granola, and quick crusts

We’ll show you how to:

• Make your own self-rising flour and Kuchen mix—just add egg, butter, and fruit
• Prep a big batch of streusel topping to sprinkle on apples, nectarines, or yogurt
